Top 5 Film & Television Apps on iOS in Latin America, Q4 2024

During the fourth quarter of 2024, the Film & Television category on iOS in Latin America saw significant activity among its top apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Disney+ experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $2.5M at the beginning of October, dipping to around $1.2M in early November, and closing the quarter at $1.6M. Weekly downloads varied between 130K and 195K, with the highest downloads occurring in late December. Active users showed a general upward trend, peaking at 4.4M by the end of December.

HBO Max: Stream Movies & TV maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue throughout the quarter, beginning with $1.3M and ending with a similar figure. Downloads peaked in late November at over 250K, while active users increased from 3.6M to 3.9M by the end of December.

Globoplay: Novelas, séries e + saw weekly revenue hover around $600K, with a slight peak at $672K in early November. Downloads reached their highest in the last week of September at about 70K, and active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at approximately 2.6M.

Amazon Prime Video showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, closing at nearly $474K. A notable spike in downloads occurred in late December, hitting over 560K. Active users also saw growth, reaching 3.9M at the quarter's end.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias had a peak in weekly revenue of around $358K in mid-November, with downloads ranging from 41K to 60K throughout the quarter. Active users decreased from 1.7M to 1.1M by the end of December.
